An estimated 90.000 Orange County kids are living in poverty, and Orange County Social Services receives about 11,000 reports of suspected abuse or neglect annually.

Since early 2023, Project Foster has provided over 3,700 new  duffle bags to Orange County foster and at-risk youth aged 3 to late teens. Each case provides vulnerable kids with belongings to call their own – clothing, hygiene essentials,  sheets, school supplies, and comfort items like a handmade pillowcase, a quilt or throw, books/toys, and HOPE.

Although Project Foster  primarily serves kids and teens under the care of Orange County Social Services it also serves children experiencing domestic abuse, homelessness or extreme poverty, identified by  agencies, school districts,   and other advocates and social workers
