About Us
Dana Point Women’s Club has been an integral part of the South Orange County community since 1951. We are a 501(c)(3) non- profit organization, EIN # 33-0212059. Our mission is two-fold . First, we work to strengthen community - empowering women, children and families in South Orange County, helping foster and at-risk kids and teens, addressing hunger and basic needs, supporting efforts to prevent homelessness and promoting literacy and education. Secondly, we provide a meeting place for local non-profits and community organizations by renting Community House, our charming vintage Clubhouse at affordable rates. We also rent Community House to private parties for meetings, parties and events in order to fund building maintenance and preservation and support our philanthropic initiatives.
Our members are women of all ages and diversities who work together, focusing our time, talents and financial contributions to strengthen the community. Our members seek to serve while building lifelong friendships. We are proud to continue the club's legacy of women supporting the Dana Point and surrounding community for three quarters of a century. Dana Point Women’s Club is celebrating its 75th year of existence in FY 2025/26!
We serve women, children and families in our local South Orange County community. DPWC members build camaraderie and make lifelong friendships while generously donating their time and talents. “Fun in philanthropy” is at the heart of what we do.
Our Philanthropic Programs
Dana Point Women's Club philanthropic programs benefit South Orange County women, children and families while addressing poverty, preventing homelessness and promoting literacy and education. Our current programs include:

Project Foster
Our primary, hands on, philanthropy providing donations of suitcases stuffed with clothing, hygiene essentials, comfort items and HOPE for kids in OC'’s Foster Care system and other at risk youth referred by social workers and school counsellors.

SparkPoint OC
Benefiting
Orange County United Way’s SparkPoint Program , a financial literacy program aimed at preventing homelessness by empowering our most vulnerable families and survivors of exploitation.

Project Literacy
We hold annual Book Drives for RH Dana and Palisades Elementary schools, and lend our support to literacy programs such as South Coast Literacy Council and Dana Point Public Library’s Summer Reading Program for Kids.

Project Scholarship
DPWC currently awards four annual scholarships of $2.000 each helping outstanding local female scholars fund their future dreams as they enter 4 year or community colleges or trade schools.

Project Angel Tree
Helping to make the holidays brighter for vulnerable local kids and their families by providing clothing, gifts and family grocery assistance.

Handbags for Hearts
Supporting a charity founded by one of our generous members, we donate gently used handbags stuffed with toiletries and essentials to approximately 100 Spark Point Program women annually.

Project Nourish
In addition to direct financial donations, food drives hosted throughout the year yield hundreds of pounds of food to local food banks working to prevent hunger and support local families.

Project Military
We host drives and support local military charities. We recently made a major contribution to “Returning Home”, a bronze statue to be erected in Dana Point by the 5th Marine Support Group honoring veterans.

One-Time Projects
We are attuned to local needs in our community and support one-time project throughout the year, including Breast Cancer Research, Laura’s House, Miracles for Kids and more.
