Dana Point Women’s Club members are South Orange County women of all ages and walks of life who join together to have "fun in philanthropy". They generously give of their time, talents and financial resources to strengthen the local community through our many Philanthropic Projects. Our programs empower and support local women, children and family and are focused on addressing hunger, preventing homelessness, and promoting literacy and education.
First Thursday of each month September through June held alternately at 11AM or 6PM
Our monthly meetings include board updates, sharing a meal together (catered or potluck style), and hearing from a speaker and/or participating in a fun interactive event. Most of the meetings are held at our Clubhouse, Community House, and on occasion, we venture out to local Dana Point establishments. It's been this way since the early 1950's! Meetings are held September through June, with the summer months reserved for Board training and annual planning.
Hosted throughout the year
We host several fundraisers throughout the year, including our Annual Chili Cook Off Challenge in the Fall, and Cocktails for a Cause in the Spring. We also host "Girl's Nights Out" at local restaurants, wine and paint events, and more. Our members are encouraged to solicit auction and raffle prizes from local vendors and/or create their own gifts to enhance our fundraisers and help us meet our philanthropic goals.
How our members participate and contribute
Members are asked to attend the monthly meetings and fundraiser events whenever possible. We ask that members invite their family and friends to fundraiser events, and help spread awareness about Dana Point Women's Club in our community. New Member Initiation Fee: $40
Annual Membership Fee: $60
Monthly Meetings: $30 for catered meal, or free (potluck style)
Examples of donations throughout the year: Book drives, food drives, children gifts, raffle prizes, optional free will, etc.
